That’s right! The venerable Dynatrol/Rod Bender Dyn-O-Might.
It’s been around seemingly forever. Along with the Tady BCL and Salas TNT, it’s probably one of the most commonly modified jigs ever made. We don’t get these in here too often …but when we do the majority of them have something done to them get them to “work”. They’ll have holes drilled thru them, pieces of metal screwed onto them …you name it!
Traditionally, these would have been slow trolled, way-way back in the clear water and caught their share, mostly Tuna.
What we’ve done is modify them to allow them to be trolled in a spread, at normal speeds along with other common wahoo lures. This was done by reconfiguring it to match the features found on commonly used Wahoo trolling lures.
The connection point was moved to the top of the head, creating a front lip that make it dig below the surface. An added benefit is that the original front hole creates a great bubble trail. Additionally, a second mid-body hook is added to increase the hook up ratio. Lastly, the jig itself is pretty much bulletproof, other than the eyes and paint, it’s solid metal and able to endure anything a Hoo can do. Over an over again.
This will be produced in very limited quantities as the supply is limited and they’re made by hand.
